Communities In Schools is anchor to the nation's leading community-based
organization helping young people stay in school and prepare for life.

For more than 25 years, Communities In Schools has helped students choose success
by ensuring their access to the "Five Basics":

  1. one-on-one relationship with a caring adult
  2. safe place to learn and grow
  3. healthy start and a healthy future
  4. marketable skill to use upon graduation
  5. chance to give back to peers and community

Each year, more than two million young people in 27 states and the District of Columbia have access to services through Communities In Schools.

CHOOSE SUCCESS
Our National Public Awareness Campaign
In April 2005, Communities In Schools launched a three-year advertising campaign designed to draw attention to the issue of high school dropout, and raise the organization's visibility. The campaign, which was created by New York advertising agency Shepardson, Stern and Kaminsky, includes provocative television, radio, print, outdoor and Internet advertising.
