The wild pigs are back in South San Jose. Every year during the early fall, pigs stroll down the Bay Area mountainsides to nibble on worms and other food in people's lawns. The unwelcome visitors are doing most of the damage on Heaton Moor Drive, which borders Santa Teresa County Park.
Wild pigs were seen in recent years strolling through another San Jose neighborhood. They leave behind piles of dirt and uprooted plants in as they search for food.Neighbors say they've had enough of the animalsThe state Department of Fish of Game says the pigs come down because the hillsides are dry this time of year.Fish and game has given homeowners permission to trap the animals.
