UPDATED: 3:54 pm PDT September 9, 2005

Jurors have reached verdicts for two of the three East Bay men accused of murdering Newark transgender teenager Gwen Araujo nearly three years ago, but their decisions will remain sealed while they continue deliberating the fate of the third defendant.

The eight-man, four-woman jury didn't say for which defendants they had reached verdicts. They announced that they reached the partial verdicts at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.

Jurors went home at 4:30 p.m. and will continue deliberating at 9 a.m. Friday. They began deliberating on Aug. 30 and have deliberated for six full days and part of a seventh.
