POSTED: 11:16 pm PDT July 12, 2004

On the stand, a Modesto police detective in charge of searching for the 300 sex offenders living near the Peterson home.

When he talked about a master list of the names the defense told the judge they never got the list.

The judge then angrily told the prosecution the continuing problem is very aggravating.

"Judge Delucchi's comment to the district attorney … that doesn't bode will in front of a jury," said Michael Cardoza, a legal expert.

Prosecutors also tried to show the detailed search for evidence in the Peterson home.

One detective testified there were drops of something on a comforter.
