High Blood Pressure Is Controllable

High blood pressure is one of the leading causes of stroke, heart disease, kidney failure and premature death in the United Sates.

To reduce your risk of high blood pressure, there are several things you can do:

  • Eat at least two to three daily servings of low-fat dairy products.

  • Eat eight to 10 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.

  • Stop smoking.

  • Limit alcohol intake.

  • Increase physical activity.

  • Try to cut down on the amount of fat you eat.
